For the company premises of Possehl Spezialbau in Oosterhout, we have approximately 465 m² flat roof made sustainable and re-waterproofed. The existing roof features 100 mm PIR roof insulation, which is mechanically fixed. We then finished the entire roof surface with Renolit Alkorplan 1.5 mm PVC single-ply roofing membrane, also mechanically fixed. This gives the commercial building a durable, well-insulated and fully waterproof roof once again.
At gutter level, Plastisol profiles in Sargasso have been fitted to waterproof the insulation and create a secure connection for the PVC roofing. The transition between the existing and new roof has also been carefully waterproofed using bituminous roofing and finished with Plastisol profiles. In addition, the flutes have been filled with 30 mm PIR insulation for an optimal connection of the roof insulation.
The old, weathered roof light panels have been replaced by new rooflights. Plastisol angle profiles have been fitted around the upstands, after which the PVC roofing has been carefully glued and the seams thermally welded. The result is a completely renewed section of the flat roof with high-quality roof insulation and plastic roofing. A major sustainability upgrade and yet another fine piece of craftsmanship!
